Докторска дисертација доноси целовит приказ књижевног лика архиепископа Јевстатија I– химнографског и хагиографског – у старој српској књижевности. Химнографски лик сагледанје у традицији српскословенског рукописног наслеђа Службе светом архиепископу Јевстатију I,изворног песничког дела намењеног литургијском прослављању националног светитеља.Истраживањем су обухваћени сви познати преписи песничког састава (шест), уобличени упериоду од треће четвртине XIV до средине треће деценије XVI столећа. Одлике писаног наслеђаСлужбе сагледане су целотиво, анализом извора, применом метода класификације ипериодизације. Испитани су: време и место настанка преписа, палеографске и ортографскеодлике, као и текстуално окружење Службе. Посебна пажња посвећена је праћењу одступања уструктури и садржини Службе, у контексту измена изворног књижевног дела усклађених саодредбама богослужбеног устава (Јерусалимски типик). Пратили смо начин укрштања изворнекњижевности са песништвом Претпразновања Богојављења (празнује се истог дана када иархиепископ Јевстатије – 4. јануара). Резултати ових испитивања, за које су коришћенетекстолошка и компаративна метода, понудили су одговоре на питања о трајању и изменамаоригиналног књижевног састава који прате развој култа светог архиепископа.Истраживања су утврдила постојање две традиције литургијског прослављања –светогорске и традиције епископија Српске цркве. Представљени су токови њиховог развоја иодлике у измењеном текстуалном окружењу Службе (минеј и зборник мешовитог састава). Узавршном делу рада доноси се приређено издање свих преписа Службе. Химнографски ликсагледан је и у светлу српскословенске песничке традиције, с посебним освртом на елементе„додира“ са Службом архиепископу Арсенију (одабир мотива, елементи књижевноуметничкогпоступка). Реконструишу се и тумаче, након новог увида, поетичке одлике стваралаштваархиепископа Данила II (Бањског), састављача службе Арсенинију. Њему се, након стилистичкихи поетичких испитивања, приписује и Служба Јевстатију I. Заједничко ауторство двају песничкихдела изводи се применом аналитичко-синтетичког метода којим се утврђују главне одликепесничког лика светог српског архијереја, уобличеног у поезији архиепископа Данила II...

This PhD dissertation brings a comprehensive literary profile of Archbishop Jevstatije I –hymnographic and hagiographic – in early Serbian literature. His hymnographic profile is considered inthe context of the tradition of Serbian manuscript heritage of the Service to the Holy ArchbishopJevstatije I, an original work of poetry intended for the liturgical veneration of the national saint. Theresearch includes all known copies of this work (6), formulated from the third quarter of the 14th centuryto the middle of the third decade of the 16th century. The characteristics of the written heritage of theService are assessed comprehensively by analyzing the sources and applying the methods ofclassification and periodization. The dissertation looks into the time and place of the creation of thecopies, their paleographic and orthographic features, and the textual milieu in which they appear. It paysparticular attention to tracing departures from the usual structure and contents of the Service in thecontext of modifying the contents and composition of the original literary work to comply with theregulations of the Jerusalem Typikon. It traces the intersections between original literature and the poetryof the Forefeast of Theophany, celebrated on the same day as Archbishop Jevstatije (January 4th). Theresults of this research, which employed the textological and comparative methods, have providedanswers to questions concerning the time span and changes in the original literary works that developedwith the holy archbishop’s cult.This research has identified two traditions of liturgical celebration – the Athonite tradition andthe tradition of the bishoprics under the Serbian Church. The dissertation describes the developmentalarcs of these two traditions and their characteristics in the Service’s changed textual milieu (in themenaion and in a miscellany). The final part includes a critical edition of all copies of the Service. Thesaint’s hymnographic profile is assessed in the light of the Serbo-Slavonic poetic tradition, focusing oncommonalities with the Service to Archbishop Arsenije I (selection of motifs, elements of the literaryartisticprocess). After a new assessment, the research reconstructs and interprets the poeticcharacteristics of the opus of Archbishop Danilo II (of Banjska), the author of the Service to Arsenije.Based on stylistic and poetic research, the same author is credited with having penned the Service toJevstatije I. The shared authorship of these two works of poetry is inferred by applying an analyticalsyntheticapproach to identify the principal characteristics of the poetic profile of a Serbian archbishopsaint that emerged in Danilo II’s poetry...
