Dance disciplines within the artistic sport, DanceSport, are one of the most creative sportsdisciplines, from a kinesiological point of view. However, the specificities of each of them, evenwithin a dance discipline (different dance styles) represent a significant challenge whenharmonizing and setting criteria in the sports system. Also, finding adequate tools and methods, which would help coaches to improve their work with athletes, is a necessity in the modern era, andthe motivation of this study was also inspired by the need for a better understanding of theapplication of assistive technologies in everyday practice as an aid and useful tool for coaches inreal sports circumstances. The goal of research 1 was to determine the relationship between the two appliedmethods, the devices used to measure the performance times of new tests of specific coordination ofdancers: FitLight Trainer device and the IMU sensor. The aim was to determine if the IMU placedon the metatarsal part of the foot could provide valid and reliable time measures of the testscompared to the results obtained with the FitLight Trainer device. In a study to determine therelationship between the two applied measurement methods, the FitLight Trainer device and theIMU sensor, the sample included 21 participants. The results of this research confirmed the generalhypothesis Ho1 - Comparison of measurement methods, FitLight Trainer device and IMU sensor, will show the consistency of the results of the two applied methods. Total test performance times, measured by the FitLight Trainer and the IMU device, showed high levels of agreement. High ICCvalues (0.967 ≤ ICC ≤ 0.994) indicate a high consistency of the results obtained using the twodevices. This is supported by the relative differences, expressed as percentages (-0.06% ≤ relativedifferences ≤ 1.16%), between the total test execution times obtained using the two devices.Furthermore, the Bland–Altman diagrams do not show statistical significance in the differencesbetween the times of execution of the applied tests calculated using the two devices (−0.0076 s ≤bias ≤ 0.0498 s). Regarding the test-retest reliability of the IMU for total time estimation for all fourapplied tests, the coefficient of variation (6.5% ≤ cV ≤ 12.0%) is consistent with the coefficient ofvariation of the FitLight Trainer (6.6% ≤ cV ≤ 12.1%). We can conclude that as an alternative toother devices, the IMU device has proven to be able to provide accurate time measurements in testsof complex movements of the lower extremities. The main advantages compared to the FitLightTrainer device, which was taken as standard, were the small size of the IMU system and thepossible monitoring of the use of multiple sensors on different parts of the body at the same time. The IMU proved to be more mobile, lighter and easier to use than the FitLight Trainer device. Thatit does not affect the athletes' performance is consistent with the fact that the assistive technologyshould follow the activity without interfering with or altering the performance.Research 2 dealt with construction and validation of new tests of specific coordination, asa measuring instrument, which will be used in the training process and control of the level ofdevelopment of specific coordination of dancers in different dance disciplines. This research wasdevoted to defining the metric characteristics of tests for evaluating the specific coordination ofdancers. The total research sample included 25 participants, of which 21 also participated inResearch 1. Of these, 18 experienced dancers (minimum national level) from various dancedisciplines including latin - american and standard dances, modern and contemporary dance, hiphop, as well as a control group of 7 participants, students of the Faculty of Sports and PhysicalEducation, University of Belgrade. Out of 18 dancers, 12 participants are women and 6 men, youth(16 – 19 years) and adult (19+) categories, while in the control group there are 7 men (19 years old)...

Rezultati ovog istraživanja su potvrdili opštu hipotezu Ho1 –Komparacija metoda merenja, FitLight Trainer uređaja i IMU senzora, će pokazati usaglašenostrezultata dve primenjene metode.
