Стицање одређених компетенција представља циљ сваког процеса учења. Што су садржајикоји треба да се науче комплекснији, тим више компетенција је потребно савладати. Уоквиру транслатологије спој тих компетенција, у које, између осталог, спада и језичка,културна и истраживачка компетенција, назовемо транслатолошком компетенцијом. Фокусовог рада лежи на културној компетенцији која није од значаја само за превођење, већ и задруге области студија језика, као што су предмети Савремени немачки језик и Немачкакњижевност. Подстицање културне компетенције је врло важан задатак наставника, пресвега зато што су на том пољу код већине студената видљиви дефицити који доводе донеспоразума у комуникацији, а неретко им отежавају и разумевање текстова.Кроз анализе превода на предмету Превођење за германисте и дискусије о текстовиматреба, између осталог, да се потврђује да ли студенти имају потешкође да идентификујукултурне специфичности, да ли су упознати са поступцима превођења који долазе у обзир,а сем тога и у којој су мери језичка и културна компетенција повезанe. Осим тога циљистраживања је да се види да ли настава у којој се користе одређене дидактичке вежбе игде се воде дискусије у пленуму води до сензибилизације студената према културнимспецифичностима.

Jeder Lernprozess erfordert den Erwerb bestimmter Kompetenzen und je komplexer dieZusammenhänge sind, die erlernt werden sollen, desto mehr Kompetenzen gilt es zu erwerben.Im Bereich der Translationswissenschaft können diese als Translationskompetenzzusammengefasst werden und zu ihnen zählen unter anderem Kompetenzen im Bereich derSprache, der Kultur und der Recherche. In der vorliegenden Arbeit liegt der Fokus auf derkulturellen Kompetenz, die außer für die Übersetzer- und Dolmetschertätigkeit auch in anderenBereichen der Fremdsprachenausbildung, etwa im Bereich der Literaturwissenschaft und derGegenwartssprache, von Bedeutung ist und daher intensiv gefördert werden sollte, zumal bei denStudierenden oftmals deutliche Defizite in diesem Bereich zu beobachten sind. Diese Defiziteführen zu Missverständnissen oder erschweren teilweise das Verständnis von Zusammenhängenin Texten erheblich.Durch die Analysen von Übersetzungen, die die Studierenden im Fach Übersetzen undDolmetschen für Germanisten im Zeitraum zwischen 2017 und 2022 erstellten, und Diskussionenüber die Texte im Unterricht sollte unter anderem untersucht werden, inwiefern den Studierendendie Identifizierung von Kulturspezifika im Text Schwierigkeiten bereitet, ob sie mit in Fragekommenden Übersetzungsverfahren vertraut sind und ob sich sprachliche Kompetenz undkulturelle Kompetenz gegenseitig bedingen. Außerdem sollte festgestellt werden, ob der aufkulturelle Spezifika ausgerichtete Unterricht mit übersetzungsdidaktischen Übungen undDiskussionen im Plenum zu einer Sensibilisierung der Studierenden gegenüber Kulturspezifikaführen kann.

Every learning process requires certain competences and the more complex the process, the morecompetences need to be gained. In the field of translation studies, they can be summarized astranslation competence, and they include for instance competence regarding language, culture,and research. The focus of this dissertation lies on the cultural competence, which is not only ofsignificance for translation but also for literary and language studies, and that is why it deservesspecial attention, mainly because many students have great deficits in this area. These deficitshave the potential to lead to missunderstandings and make text comprehension much moredifficult for the students.The intention was to find out through analysis of translated texts, which had been submitted bythe students in the course Translation for Germanists and discussions about the texts in thelessons, whether the students have difficulties to identify culture-specific terms, whether they arefamiliar with translation procedures and whether language and cultural competence are closelylinked.
