Resume This paper emphasizes the poetics of change evident in the genesis of the stories from the collection Lica (1960). The stories published by the writer in this final collection during his lifetime are markedly different from his previous narrative opus. This variance serves as a plausible explanation for the resistance from the critical public in accepting this late prose by Andrić. Some- thing has shifted in Andrić’s writing, a poetic turn has occured, or perhaps creative exhaustion has manifested. Therefore, it is understandable why some of the most prominent critics of the last century (such as P. Džadžić, P. Palavestra, Z. Gavrilović), assessed Lica as a book that fails to meet the high standard set by Andrić’s earlier work, leaving readers with a sense of dissatisfaction and disappointment. The observed changes can signify various factors: the wavering of the author's idea, dilemmas regarding finer details or stylistic solutions, but also the impact of the social context and the prevailing historical moment. The focus of attention, not by chance, was directed towards three short stories: „Štrajk u tkaonici ćilima“, „Letovanje na jugu“ and „Bajron u Sintri“.

У раду је указано на поетику промена које се уочавају у генези приповедака у збирци Лица (1960). Приповетке које писац издаје у својој последњој за живота објављеној збирци умногоме се разликују од претходног пишчевог приповедног опуса, те је отуда разумљив отпор критичке јавности да прихвати ову позну Андрићеву прозу. Промене могу да сведоче о различитим стварима: о колебању ауторове замисли, о дилемама око ситнијих детаља или стилских решења, али и о поетичком заокрету или баласту друштвеног контекста и актуелног историјског тренутка. Тежиште пажње, не случајно, стављено је на три приповетке: „Штрајк у ткаоници ћилима“, „Летовање на југу“ и „Бајрон у Синтри“.
