Апстракт: Предмет истраживања у овом раду јесу светоотачка уче- ња (I–VI век) у којима појмови склад и поредак заузимају посебно сазнајно место. Циљ истраживања је да укаже на значај који су поменута начела имала у развоју средњовековне мисли, посебно када је реч о успостављању врлинског живота и идеологије узорне владавине. Резултати истраживања су засновани на упоредној анализи фрагментарно изложених ставова све- тих отаца о начелу склада и поретка, који су у раду приказани без ширег образлагања, парафразирања или тумачења – како би на што непосреднији начин била представљена њихова општа својства и прожимајуће сазнајне и делатне основе. Ставови светих отаца сведоче о промишљању и сврисход- ности учешћа човека у поретку утемељеном на складним основама – по узору на лик Божји. Поменута начела се у раду не разматрају строго с тео- лошког становишта, већ из угла општег сазнања о њиховом поимању то- ком средњовековнoг раздобља.

Summary The subject of research in this paper are the teachings of the Holy Fathers (1st–6th century) in which the concepts of harmony and order occupy a special cognitive place. The goal of the research is to point out the importance the above mentioned principles had in the development of medieval thought, especially when it comes to the establishment of a virtuous life and the ideology of exemplary rule. The results of the research are based on a comparative analysis of the fragmentary views of the Holy Fathers on the principles of harmony and order, which are presented in the paper without their broader reasoning, paraphrasing, or interpretation – the aim was to present their common properties and unifying cognitive and operational bases as directly as possible. The attitudes of the Holy Fathers bear witness to the consideration and expediency of organizing society and its basic institutions (Church and State) on a harmonious basis, modeled after the image of God. The mentioned principles are not strictly considered from a theological point of view but from the angle of general knowledge of their understanding during the medieval period.
