Strategies For Overcoming Gifted Failure In Learning German And Russian As A Foreign Language
Rezime: Rad na savladavanju sadržaja u domenu stranog jezika sa brojnim generacijama učenika i studenata potvrđuje podatke o velikom broju osipanja jezički darovitih učenika do kojih su došle longitudinalne studije. Pošavši od pitanja zašto se to dešava, utvrđeno je više različitih uzroka koji su u svakom od slučajeva nastupali individualno. Jedan od njih, koji se pojavljivao često, bila je dosada i odbijanje da se uklopi u zadate okvire, to jest da se „ukalupi” u propisane nastavne sadržaje i sredstva. U radu se prezentuju nalazi primenjenog istraživanja o efektima upotrebe strategija za prevazilaženje neuspeha darovitih u učenju stranog jezika i predlažu moguća rešenja za njihovo predupređivanje i prevazilaženje u učenju nemačkog i ruskog kao stranog jezika. Deskriptivnom metodom izvršeno istraživanje, sprovedeno je na 20 časova tokom letnjeg semestra školske 2023/24. godine na uzorku od 14 studenata (osam na ruskom i šest na nemačkom jeziku). Osnovni nalaz odnosi se na to da za učenje stranog jezika daroviti studenti inkliniraju ka autonomiji i samostalnom istraživačkom radu, odnosno da je potrebno da budu podstaknuti da odaberu cilj (da dođu do informacija za koje su zainteresovani) i da prikupljene informacije prezentuju u grupi, te da o njima diskutuju, što deluje podsticajno na razvoj samopouzdanja koje je značajan faktor u situacijama kada motivacija pada i nedostaje im snage i istrajnosti da napreduju na putu akademskog samoostvarenja.
Summary: Working on mastering content in the domain of a foreign language with numerous generations of students confirms the data on the large number of dropouts of linguistically gifted students that have been found in longitudinal studies. Starting from the question of why this is happening, several different causes were identified that occurred individually in each case. One of them, which appeared often, was boredom and refusal to fit into the given framework, that is, to "mould" into the prescribed teaching contents and means. The paper presents the findings of applied research on the effects of applying strategies to overcome the failures of gifted people in learning a foreign language and suggests possible solutions for preventing and overcoming them in learning German and Russian as a foreign language. The research, carried out using the descriptive method, was conducted in 20 clases during the summer semester of the school year 2023/24. year on a sample of 14 students (8 in Russian and 6 in German). The basic finding refers to the fact that students gifted for learning a foreign language tend towards autonomy and independent research work, meaning that they need to be encouraged to choose a goal (to find the information they are interested in) and to present the collected information in a group, and to discuss them, which stimulates the development of self-confidence, which is a significant factor in situations where motivation falls and they lack the strength and perseverance to progress on the path of academic self-realization.
