Summary: In our paper, we start from the influence of Radović’s creativity and social action on the shaping of contemporary construct of childhood. Also, we situate Radović’s poetry and essays in the time of modernism and point out his importance in the fifties of the 20th century and the position he occupies today in the literature. The main part of the work will be dedicated to Radović’s construct of childhood as an age in which the world is seen authentically and originally (a metaphor for the property of wingedness, liberation from earthly limitations), and to poems in which complex metaphysical themes, such as birth, transience and death, the relationship bet ween human and cosmic, translate the understanding of the absolute and divine into a “naive” poem. We conclude that Radović creates a kind of “naive” ontology and cosmology, with which he manages to survive on the level of a child’s experience. With this, he manages to realize her “vertical dimension” in children’s poetry, realizing a kind of “naive” wisdom.

У раду полазимо од утицаја Радовићевог стваралаштва и друштвеног деловања на обликовање савремених представа о детињству. Такође, ситуирамо Радовићеву поезију и есејистику у времену послератног модернизма и указујемо на његов значај педесетих година 20. века и позицију коју данас заузима у књижевности. Главни део ра да биће посвећен Радовићевом виђењу детињства као доба у којем се свет види аутентично и изворно (метафора својства крилатости, ослобађања од земаљских ограничења), те корпусу песама у којем се сложене метафизичке теме, попут рођења, пролазности и смрти, односа људског и космичког, разумевања апсолута преводе у „наивну” песму. Закључујемо да Радовић сачињава својеврсну „наивну” онтологију и космологију, којом успева да опстане у равни дечјег искуства. Тиме успева да реализује њену „вертикалну димензију” у певању за младе читаоце.
