The Significance Of Aleksandar Jovanović In Developing The Study Of Children’s And YА Literature

Сажетак: У раду указујемо на различите видове деловања Александра Јовановића у развоју књижевности за децу и младе. Као тумач савремене књижевности, ову област је посматрао као вредног, пуноправног чиниоца националне књижевности и борио се за модерни приступ њеном проучавању. Тумачио је опусе аутора који су доносили поетичке преокрете и доприносили установљењу модерног духа књижевности за децу и младе, па у раду испитујемо његове текстове о Душану Радовићу, Љубивоју Ршумовићу, Моми Капору, Григору Витезу, Гроздани Олујић и другима. Јовановић је више година предавао Књижевност за децу на Учитељском факултету, обликовао је модерну концепцију силабуса и отворио ју је према савременим приступима и тумачењима. Покретањем факултетског пројекта По- етика српске књижевности за децу и младе и уређивањем зборника утицао је на проширивање и стабилизовање националног корпуса књижевности за децу. Својим институционалним, друштвеним, про- фесорским, менторским, уредничким, приређивачким и књижевно- историјским радом имао је пресудан утицај на развој академског изучавања књижевности за децу и младе.
Summary: In the paper, we point out the different types of activity of Aleksandar Jovanović in the development of children`s and YA literature. As an interpreter of contem- porary literature, he viewed this field as a valuable, full-fledged part of national lit- erature and fought for a modern approach to its study. He interpreted the works of authors who brought poetic changes and contributed to the establishment of the modern spirit of literature for children and young people, so in this paper we exam- ine his texts about Dušan Radović, Ljubivoje Ršumović, Momo Kapor, Grigor Vitez, Grozdana Olujić and others. Jovanović taught Children’s Literature for several years at the Teacher Education Faculty, he shaped the modern conception of the syllabus and opened it to modern approaches and interpretations. By starting the faculty pro- ject Poetics of Serbian children`s and YA literature and by editing the scientific collec- tions, he influenced the expansion and stabilization of the national body of children’s literature. With his institutional, social, professorial, mentoring, editorial and liter- ary historical work, he had a decisive influence on the development of the academic study of children`s and YA literature.
