ABSTRACT A fast and simple method is described for the simultaneous isolation of transferrin and immunoglobulin G of high purity of ≥ 98 and 99%, from mammal serum as starting material. The method involves the use of one precipitation and one chromatographic (FPLC) step. The same results are obtained using three different buffer systems i.e. MES, BisTris or phosphate buffer system during the chromatographic step. Both transferrin and immunoglobulin G, isolated and purified by this method, are in their physiological form.
