ABSTRACT During 2023, at the Institute for the Application of Nuclear Energy - INEP were sent 514 samples of mineral fertilizers of different composition for gamma spectrometry analyzing by border phytosanitary inspection. Different activity levels of natural (40K, 232Th, 226Ra, 238U), and artificially produced radionuclide (137Cs) were present in all measured samples, whereby the activity levels of 137Cs in the measured samples were very low (negligible). Depending on the type and composition of the fertilizer, different activity levels of natural radionuclides were recorded.
