Апстракт: У раду ће бити речи о најпознатијој личности српског средњег века, Светом Сави, у контексту усмене традиције неговане на просторима сјеничко- пештерске висоравни. Корпус нашег проучавања заснован је на записима Хусеина Дердемеза, пре свега легендама, које су сакупљане у другој половини 20. века, и од којих су неке потпуно оригиналне, те као такве, према нашем увиду, представљају до сада непознату грађу о Светом Сави. Циљ рада јесте да компаративном и аналитичком методом сагледамо на који начин усмена традиција чува сећање на личност Светог Саве, као и да истакнемо културолошки значај који поменути записи имају за целокупну баштину српске усмене књижевности и фолклористике.

Abstract: In the paper, it shall be written on the most famous person of the Serbian Middle Age, Saint Sava, in the context of the oral tradition cherished in the areas of the Sjenica-Pester Valley. The corpus of our reaserch was based on the manuscripts of Husein Derdemez, primarily on legends, being collected in the second half of 20th century, and some are completely original ones, and as such, according to our insight, they represent unknown material about Saint Sava up to the present days. The aim of the paper is to reconsider, both with a comparative and analitical method, in what way the oral tradition keeps the memory onto the personality of Saint Sava, and also to emphasize the cultural importance the stated manuscripts have onto the entire heritage of the Serbian oral literature and folkloristics.
