САЖЕТАК: Рад се бави романом Дванаесто море Игора Коларова на двема равнима: упоредном анали - зом првог и другог издања и уочавањем, те истицањем сличности између овог дела и романа Мали принц Антоана де Сент Егзиперија. Анализом се дошло до увида да су у друго издање унете измене које се могу тумачити у контексту редукције извесних, можда чак и наглашено тешких момента у делу, док је у првом издању редукција ишла у правцу просторно-временских одредница, упућивања на то ко говори, ко врши радњу и сл. Подвлаче се различите стратегије нарације у овим издањима, које, премда нису од темељног значаја за разумевање дела, откривају неке поступке стваралачке радионице Игора Коларова. Други део рада нуди једно могуће упоредно читање Малог принца и Дванаестог мора, тим пре што је и сам Коларов тврдио да је то једна од најлепших књига свих времена. На тај начин, Дванаесто море отвара се у правцу нових исходишта тумачења.

Summary: The paper deals with the novel The Twelfth Sea (Dvanaesto more) by Igor Kolarov on two levels: a comparative analysis of the 1st and 2nd editions of the novel and observation, and emphasis on the similarities between the selected novel and The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The analysis led to the insight that changes were made in the 2nd edition that can be interpreted in the context of the reduction of certain, perhaps even emphatically, difficult moments in the work, while in the 1st edition the reduction went in the direction of spatio-temporal determinants, references to who is speaking, performs an action, etc. Various narrative strategies are highlighted in these editions, which, although not of fundamental importance for understanding the work, reveal some of the procedures of Igor Kolarov’s creative workshop. The second part of the paper offers a kind of comparative reading of The Little Prince and The Twelfth Sea, especially since Kolarov himself claimed that it is one of the most beautiful books of all time. In this way, The Twelfth Sea opens up to us in the direction of new sources of interpretation.
