Abstract: The issue of the body politic is usually connected to the images of the absolutist power or at least to the visualizations of the grand sovereignty. This time-honored concept is most commonly associated with the power structures whose authority is unquestionable and constructed in such a way that that one only ponders how much of it is a political reality and how much a political fiction. The idea of the Body Politic through history was not the sole prerequisite of regal or monarchical institutions.
