Предмет истраживања докторске дисертације су живот проф. др Радославa М. Грујићa (1878–1955) и његова делатност на прикупљању, проучавању, представљању и очувању културног и уметничког наслеђа српског народа. Досадашња историографија сагледавала је Радослава Грујића углавном на основу његових научних радова и активности за време и непосредно после Другог светског рата. Богата архивска и необјављена грађа (око 10.000 докумената) чији се већи део први пут појављује у овој докторској дисертацији, обједињена је и интерпретирана применом интердисциплинарног приступа како би се дошло до објективније слике о значају и доприносу др Радослава Грујића српској музеологији, историји, историји уметности, археологији и очувању културног идентитета, уметничког и духовног наслеђа српског народа. На основу необјављених архивских докумената преиспитана је веродостојност и објективност досадашњих сазнања, а контекстуализацијом нових чињеница овај аспект животног дела Радослава Грујића позициониран је у односу на друштвено-политички, идејни, културни и функционални оквир. Дисертација је структурирана кроз осам поглавља и 16 потпоглавља. Закључци проистекли из истраживања потврђују да је Радослав Грујић један од најзначајнијих међуратних, ратних и послератних културних делатника када је реч о проучавању, ископавању, прикупљању, презентовању, заштити и очувању покретног и непокретног културног наслеђа српског народа. Грујићева мултидисциплинарност, како по образовању тако и по истраживачким и организационим методама које је примењивао, дала је јединствене резултате у поменутим областима. Изузетан допринос оснивању Филозофског факултета у Скопљу, Скопског научног друштва, Музеја Јужне Србије, Музеја Српске православне цркве, Музеја Срба у Хрватској, свеукупна научна делатност и подвиг спасавања српског културног наслеђа и црквеног блага у најтежим историјским околностима сврставају Радослава Грујића у ред најзначајнијих културних делатника прве половине XX века.Кључне

The scope of research of the doctoral dissertation encompasses the life of prof. Dr. Radoslav M. Grujić (1878–1955) and his activity related to the collection, studying, presentation and conservation of the cultural and artistic heritage of the Serbian people. Previous historiography has considered Radoslav Grujić mainly on the basis of his scientific papers and activities during and shortly after the Second World War. The rich archival and unpublished material (about 10,000 documents), most of which coming to light for the first time in this doctoral dissertation, was pulled together and interpreted by employing interdisciplinary approach so as to provide a more impartial account of the importance and contribution of Dr. Radoslav Grujić to Serbian museology, history, art history, archeology and the preservation of cultural identity, artistic and spiritual heritage of the Serbian people. On the basis of unpublished archival documents, the integrity and solidity of previous findings was re-examined, and by contextualizing new facts, this aspect of Radoslav Grujić's life is positioned with reference to the socio-political, ideological, cultural and functional framework. The dissertation is structured within eight chapters and sixteen subchapters. The conclusions emanating from the research confirm Radoslav Grujić as one of the most significant interwar, war and post-war cultural activists in regard to the studying, excavation, collection, presentation and preservation of the movable and immovable cultural heritage of the Serbian people. Grujić's multidisciplinarity, both in terms of his education and the research and organizational methods that he applied, allowed for unparalleled outcomes in the mentioned areas. Еxceptional contribution to the establishment of the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, the Skopje Scientific Society, Museum of Southern Serbia, Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Museum of Serbs in Croatia, his overall scientific work and rescuing the Serbian cultural heritage and church treasures during the most difficult historical circumstances rank Radoslav Grujić as one of the most significant cultural workers from the first half of the 20th century.
