У раду се анализира критика савременог образовања коју врши најцитиранији интелектуалац ХХ века Ноам Чомски. Као и у другим областима, и промене у области образовања су засноване на неолибералним начелима. Научни значај рада огледа се у томе да се укаже на важност разумевања критике примене неолибералних начела у области образовања коју је извршио Ноам Чомски, али и други аутори, док се друштвени значај огледа у томе да се на време уоче недостаци овакве концепције реформе образовног система. У раду ће бити извршена демонстрација примењених неолибералних начела у реформама образвоног система у Србије после 2000. године. Критичко подвргавање анализи извршених промена у образовном систему, на основу теоријских ставова Ноама Чомског, али и неких аутора који су о томе писали пре њега (нпр. Луј Алтисер, Пауло Фреире) и после њега (нпр. Конрад Лисман), значило би потребу за реформом реформе образовног система, који би омогућио већу доступност образовања, неговање критичког мишљења у школама, насупрот школи као установи индоктринације, што се односи на све нивое образовања.

The paper analyzes the critique of modern education presented by the most quoted intellectual of the 20th century, Noam Chomsky. Just as in other areas, the changes in the area of education are based on neoliberal principles. The scientif- ic importance of the paper is reflected in the fact that it points to the importance of understanding the critique of the application of the neoliberal principles in the area of education by Noam Chomsky as well as other authors, while the social im- portance is reflected in the timely perception of the deficiencies of such concept of the educational system reform. The paper will demonstrate the neoliberal principles applied in the edu- cational system reforms in Serbia from 2000 onwards. A critical analysis of the changes of the educational system, based on the theoretical attitudes of Noam Chomsky and some other authors writing about it before him (e.g. Louis Althuss- er, Paulo Freire) and after him (e.g. Konrad Lisman), would entail the necessity of the educational system reform that would ensure a greater availability of educa- tion, fostering critical thinking at school, as opposed to the school as an indoctri- nation institution, which refers to all the levels of education.
