Голуб, илустровани лист за српску младеж са сликама, излазио је у Сомбору у периоду од 11. јануара 1879. године, до двоброја 11/12 (новембар-децембар) из 1913. године. Пуних 28 година га је уређивао, учитељ и управитељ Српске више девојачке школе, Јован Благојевић (1879-1906). Благојевића је на месту уредника наследио Коста Стојачић (1907-1914). Голуб је издавала књижарница Миливоја Каракашевића. Голуб је покренут 1879. године, у часу када Срби нису имали други дечји лист, излазећи једанпут месечно, а од 1892. два пута, да би избројао у свом дугом лету 35 година, док се није угасио у освит Првог светског рата. Голуб је доносио књижевне прилоге и занимљивости из разних области, кратке прегледе нових бројева појединих српских листова и часописа, приказе нових књига, а неговао је и поуку и родољубиво осећање. Током излажења мењао је формат (22 цм са 27 цм). У почетку је имао тираж од 3.000 примерака и издржавао се новцем од претплате, а своје читаоце је налазио у свим крајевима Српства. Оно, можда и најзанимљивије у вези са листом, јесте то да је Голуб на својим страницама окупљао тада готово целокупну модерну српску књижевност. У њему су радове објављивали Милош Црњански, Мита Поповић, Бирисав Станковић, Владимир М. Јовановић, Војислав Илић, Јован Дучић, Алекса Шантић, Бранислав Нушић, Светозар Ћоровић, Јаша Продановић, Вељко Милићевић и други. Све ово сведочи о квалитету листа, о важности коју је имао и о улози коју је преузео када је реч о српском националном идентитету и стремљењима које је одражавао својим садржајем и упорношћу излажења. Приказ листа Голуб испраћен је комплетном библиографијом која броји 8273. библиографска записа. Од првог до 5187. записа налазе се азбучним редом, према почетном слову презимена аутора, поређани записи. Велик број осталих записа од 5188. до 8273. уређен је азбучним редом према почетном слову наслова прилога, међу којима аутор није познат или није наведен, или је то вероватно уредник.

Golub, illustrated magazine for young Serbs with pictures was published in Sombor in the starting from 11th January 1879 until the double issue 11/12 (November-December) in 1913. For 28 full years it was edited by a teacher and manager of the Higher Serbian Women School, Jovan Blagojevic (1879-1906). After Blagojevic the editing was continued by Kosta Stojacic (1907-1914). Golub was printed by the publishing house of Мilivoj Karakasevic. Golub was conceived in 1879 during the period when Serbs did not have any other magazine for the young and children. It appeared once a month and from 1892 even twice a month and it maintained the pace for 35 years only to be ceased in the beginning of the World War I. Golub was bringing before readers literal essays and various curiosities from different fields, it contained reviews of certain Serbian newspapers and journals, critiques of new books and it cherished instructiveness and it developed patriotic sentiments. During the period of constant publishing it altered its format (22 cm to 27 cm). In the beginning it was printed in 3.000 copies and it was funded by subscription and it successfully found the readers in the whole area where Serbian people lived. Something that may be quite interesting is the fact that Golub gathered the representatives of almost the whole modern Serbian literature. In this magazine the following people published their writings: Milos Crnjanski, Mita Popovic, Borisav Stankovic, Vladimir M. Jovanovic, Vojislav Ilic, Jovan Ducic, Aleksa Santic, Branislav Nusic, Svetozar Corovic, Jasa Prodanovic, Veljko Milicevic and etc. These facts are the evidence of the quality of the magazine and the evidence on the importance it had and the role it took in relation to Serbian national identity and ambitions which were presented within the contents and perseverance. The portrayal of the Golub magazine is followed by the complete bibliography comprising 8273 bibliographical units. From the first to the 5187th the units are in alphabetical order, according to the first letter of the author`s surname. Large amount of the rest units from 5188th to 8273rd are also provided in alphabetical order according to the first letter of the title since the author is not known nor stated or it is probably the editor himself.
