Универзитетска библиотека „Светозар Марковић“ у Београду, као једна од установа културе од националног значаја, има важан задатак и обавезу да негује културноисторијско наслеђе Србије и учини га доступним свим заинтересованим корисницима. У раду се наглашава специфичност грађе у високошколским библиотекама која мора бити позиционирана као примарни извор историјских чињеница, културолошких матрица и информационо-документационих садржаја. Представља се богатство архивских збирки које поседује Универзитетска библиотека „Светозар Марковић” у Београду. Често део већих целина – легата и библиотека-целина – ове збирке у Универзитетској библиотеци су разнородне и по провенијенцији, културноисторијском значају и целовитости. Иако су за архивске збирке Универзитетске библиотеке „Светозар Марковић” урађени пописи и тзв. књиге инвентара, овим збиркама се досад није прилазило са архивистичке тачке гледишта, није се истицао њихов информационо-документациони потенцијал, нити њихова специфичност с обзиром на збирке сличне грађе у нашим архивима или другим библиотекама, поготово у Архиву Србије. Приоритетан задатак овог рада није само нотирање и шири преглед збирки Универзитетске библиотеке, већ и истраживање њиховог историјата и израда одговарајућих научноинформативних средстава. Показало се, затим, да то треба радити имајући у виду обим одређених збирки, њихов културноисторијски значај, те интерес научне и шире јавности за њихово коришћење. Збирка Јоце Вујића у оквиру његовог легата у Универзитетске библиотеци, најбогатија је таква збирка у нашој земљи и стога је узета као предмет проучавања oве докторске дисертације. Добила је име по Јоци Вујићу велепоседнику из Сенте, познатом библиофилу и добротвору Београдског универзитета, који је 1931. године своју богату архиву завештао тестаментом, Универзитетској библиотеци, а у Библиотеку је пренета крајем 1932. године. Његову збирку, која већим делом представља преписку од краја 17. па до почетка 20. века, можемо поделити у четири групе: преписку из 17-18 века, преписку кнеза Милоша Обреновића, преписку Косте Анастасијевића, српског агента у Букурешту, преписку познатих и мање познатих личности новијег времена. У раду намеравамо да користећи све релевантне изворе, истражимо историјат творца архивске збирке. Тек детаљним истраживањем историјата творца грађе било је могуће детаљно истражити и историјат саме грађе, која у случају збирке Јоце Вујића потиче из различитих извора, и до које је Вујић долазио на различите начине. Тако је утврђена релациона структура саме грађе. Предложен је модел израде сумарног инвентара збирке Јоце Вујића. Израдом сумарног инвентара отворило се поље детаљнијег проучавања појединих делова ове збирке, што је резултирало издвајањем, описивањем и објављивањем појединих докумената важних за српску културну и књижевну историју. На овај начин је назначено да ова, и слична, документа, тј. делови збирке Јоце Вујића, заслужују да се аналитички обраде и представе јавности. Овако груписана грађа може даље бити предмет сваковрсног истраживања, чиме се показује да информационо-документациони приступ збиркама архивске грађе Универзитетске библиотеке „Светозар Марковић” није, и не може бити, сам себи циљ. Овакав приступ има сврху да истакне културноисторијски значај ове грађе, да олакша будући рад истраживачима, и да укаже на правце даљих истраживања. А ова грађа постаје живо и делотворно место колективног памћења. Збирка Јоце Вујића, архивистички и документалистички представљена овим радом, јесте парадигма таквога приступа.

The University Library “Svetozar Markovic” in Belgrade, as a cultural institution with the national importance, has a significant task and obligation to keep cultural and historical heritage of Serbia and make it available to all interested users. The paper puts in focus the specificity of material in academic libraries which must be placed as primary source of historical data, cultural matrix and information and documentation contents. The abundance of archival collections possessed by the University Library “Svetozar Markovic” in Belgrade, is, therefore, represented. In many cases, parts of larger units – legacies and libraries as a whole – of this collection in the University Library are diversified also by provenance, cultural and historical significance and completeness. Although there are produced inventories, i.e. inventory books, these collections have not been approached to from the archival point of view, information and documentation potential has not been emphasized, nor their specificity regarding collection of similar contents in our archives and other libraries, especially in the Archive of Serbia. The priority task of this paper is not only quotation and wider review of collections of the University Library, but also investigation of their history and creation of appropriate scientific and information means. Furthermore, it proved that it should be conducted concerning the scope of particular collections, their cultural and historical significance, as well as the interest of scientific and wider public in their usage. The collection of Joca Vujic, within his legate in the University Library, is the richest one of the kind in our country and therefore it has been chosen as the subject of interest for the research of this doctoral thesis. It has been named by Joca Vujic, a landowner from Senta, famous bibliophile and philanthropist of the Belgrade University, who bequeathed his rich archives to the University Library by his will in 1931, and later, at the end of 1932. they arrived in the library. His collection, which is mostly consisted of correspondence from period between the end of XVII and beginning of XX century, might be divided into four groups: correspondence from XVII – XVIII century, correspondence of Milos Obrenovic, correspondence of Kosta Anastasijevic, Serbian agent in Bucharest and correspondence of famous and less famous people of new era. We intend to research the history of the creator of archive collection using all relevant sources. Only detailed investigation of the history of the creator enables us to research the history of the material itself, which in case of Joca Vujic originates from different sources, and which came to Vujic in many different ways. Therefore, the relation structure of the material was determined. The model for summary inventory of Joca Vujic collection was suggested. Production of summary inventory opened the field for more detailed studies of particular parts of the collection, which resulted in separation, description and publishing of some of the documents important for Serbian cultural and literary history. In this way it has been denoted that these and similar documents, i.e. parts of Joca Vujic collection, deserve to be analytically processed and represented in public. Such organized material might be furthermore the subject of different research, which proves that informational and documenting approach to the collections of archive material of the University Library “Svetozar Markovic” cannot and may not be its only purpose. Such approach is aimed at pointing out cultural and historical significance of these materials, enabling upcoming researchers to work more easily and indicating guidelines for them. And this collection becomes a vivid and efficient place of collective memory. The collection of Joca Vujic, as represented in this paper, both from archive and documentary point of view, is a paradigm of such approach.
