Surat Al-Furqan (Arabic: سورة الفرقان‎ ) (The Criterion, The Standard) is the 25th sura of the Qur'an with 77 ayas.The name "The Criterion" refers to the Qur'an itself as the decisive factor between the Good and the Evil. The meaning of this word is to distinguish between good and bad.Another close meaning in English, which can express properly for a Westerner the deep meaning of "Al-Furqan" is the word in English discernment. This word creates similar associations in English as Al-Furqan does in Arabic.

Aura Al-Furkan (arapski: سورة الفرقان‎ ) (kriterijum, standard) je dvadeset peta sura Kurana sa sedamdesetsedam ajeta. Naziv kriterijum se odnosi na sam Kuran kao odlučujući faktor između dobra i zla. Značenje te reči jeste razlikovanje između dobra i zla. Još jedno duboko značenje reči Al-Furkan koja može ispravno preneti smisao jeste srpska reč razboritost. Ta reč pobuđuje slične asocijacije u srpskom kao što je to slučaj sa rečju Al-Furkan u arapskom.
