Generally, foreign geographical or personal names don't have case endings. There may be sounds used, which are missing in the Classical Arabic but they may exist in colloquial varieties - consonants - /v/, /p/, [t??], these consonants may or may not be written with special letters; and vowels - [o], [e] (both short and long), there are no special letters in Arabic to distinguish between [e~i] and [o~u] pairs but the sounds o and e (short and long) exist in the colloquial varieties of Arabic and some foreign words in MSA.

Uopšte uzev, strana geografska i lična imena nemaju padeške nastavke. Mogu se upotrebiti glasovi kojih nema u klasičnom arapskom, ali postoje u govornim varijantama, suglasnici /v/, /p/, [c], ti suglansici mogu biti napisani posebnim slovima, ali ne moraju i samoglasnici [o], [e] (i dugi i kratki). U arapskom ne postoje posebna slova za razlikovanje parova [e~i] i [o~u], ali glasovi o i e (dugi i kratki) postoje u kolokvijalnim varijantama arapskog i nekim stranim rečima u savremenom arapskom.
