Poetic examination of the novel written by the modern Serbian writer Danilo Nikolic represents the base of this paper. This writer’s oeuvre consists of eight Romanesque works: Owners of former happiness, Queen of Entertainment, Closing time in Grgeteg, Photo-ceramics of Mr. Cebalovic, Autumn silk, Melihat from Glog, Corrector and List of future deceased. The goal of our research meant to establish the set of recognizable means and procedures which were applied in organization of aforementioned literary and artistic creations. The course of the study included three stages, which were highlighted by means of titles of central chapters of work, in which we dealt with studying of the organization of Nikolic’s novels at various levels of literary structure: “Aspects of text in Danilo Nikolic’s novels“, “Formation of story in Danilo Nikolic’s novels“ and “Depicted world in Danilo Nikolic’s novels“. Within the first chapter we initially considered the problem of narrative instance and the problem of narrative levels, where we recognized a multi-layered structure of the text, which in addition to primary texts also covers inserted texts. The next problem that we dealt with within the same chapter was the problem of thematic and speech modus, where we were able to notice that in addition to the narrative segments in all novels we could also find descriptive and argumentative parts of the text, which..

У основи овог рада налази се поетичко испитивање романа савременог српског писца Данила Николића, који у свом опусу поседује осам романескних остварења: Власници бивше среће, Краљица забаве, Фајронт у Гргетегу, Фото-керамика господина Цебаловића, Јесења свила, Мелихат из Глог, Коректор и Списак будућих покојника. Циљ нашег истраживања подразумевао је да се установи скуп препознатљивих средстава и поступака који су примењени у организовању датих књижевноуметничких творевина. Ток проучавања обухватио је три етапе, које су истакнуте преко наслова средишњих поглавља рада, а у којима смо се бавили испитивањем организације Николићевих романа на различитим нивоима књижевне структуре: „Аспекти текста у романима Данила Николића”, „Обликовање приче у романима Данила Николића” и „Дочарани свет у романима Данила Николића”. Унутар првог поглавља разматрали смо, најпре, проблем приповедне инстанце, као и проблем приповедних нивоа, при чему смо препознали једну вишеслојну текстуалну структуру, која поред примарног обухвата и уметнуте текстове. Следећи проблем којим смо се бавили у оквиру истог поглавља био је проблем тематско-говорног модуса, где смо могли да приметимо да поред наративних сегмената у свим романимо налазимо описне и аргументоване делове текста, чију смо функцију испитивали у контексту наративне структуре.
