Marge Piercy is one of the most famous authors of feminist speculative fictionin the second half of the 20th century. However, although her works are very significant in the more recent waveof speculative fiction, there is still no comprehensive study of her work in the region. Piercy primarily deals with issues of gender, class, and race, which are themes and motifs that connectalmost all of her novels, as well as most of her poetry. The aim of this doctoral dissertation is toanalyanalyse Marge Piercy’s spe culative prose, especially the novels Woman on the Edge of Time andHe, She and It , with a special focus on issues stemming from the fields of feminism, ecology andposthumanism. Also, the aim of the dissertation is to explore the notion of the Other, which Piercy expands to include not only women, but also other subjugated groups, such as cyborgs, as well asall of nature. In the aforementioned books, the author reexamines the concepts of gender identity,motherhood, ecology, i.e. the environmental crisis, as well as the posthuman. The ideas of thesecond wave of feminism play a prominent role in both works, which need to be ex amined in thecontext of possible futures presented by the author, but also in the context of this day and age. Theconcepts of ecofeminism and posthumanism, as well as other concepts that have emerged fromfeminist theory and criticism, will be useful in the analysis of Marge Piercy’s prose.

Марџ Пирси једна је од најпознатијих ауторки феминистичке спекулативне прозе сакраја 20. века. Међутим, иако су њена дела веома значајна у новијем таласу ове прозе, наовим просторима још увек нема исцрпне студије о њеном стваралаштву. Пирси сепревасходн о бави питањима рода, класе и расе, што су теме и мотиви који повезују скоросве њене романе, али и већи део њене поезије. Циљ ове докторске дисертације јесте даанализира спекулативну прозу Марџ Пирси, нарочито романе Жена на ивици времена и Он,она и он о , са посебним фокусом на питања из области феминизма, екологије ипостхуманизма. Такође, циљ дисертације јесте да истражи појам Другог, који Пирсипроширује како би у њега укључила не само жене, већ и друге потчињене групе, попуткиборга, али и целокупну п рироду. У оба књижевна дела, ауторка преиспитује концептеродног идентитета, мајчинства, екологије то јест еколошке кризе, као и постхуманог.Истакнуту улогу у оба дела имају идеје другог таласа феминизма које је потребно испитатиу контексту могућих буду ћности које нам представља ауторка, али и у контексту данашњице.У анализи прозе Марџ Пирси биће од користи концепти екофеминизма и постхуманизма,као и други појмови који су произашли из феминистичке теорије и критике .
