Предмет рада је поетика прозе Владана Матијевића, анализа његових приповедачкихпоступака у романима и збиркама прича, с посебним нагласком на природи јунака.Матијевићево дело, према мишљењу критике и читалачке публике заузима важно место намапи савремене српске књижевности.Истраживачки рад настоји да осветли елементе приповедања аутора и да протумачииновативне приступе приповедању који формирају савремену приповедачку концепцијуВладана Матијевића. Потребно је сагледати све важне аспекте приповедања који указују наиновативност ауторовог приповедног стила: грађење јунака, жанровска обележја, хумор игротеску.Примарни резултати истраживања односе се на расветљавање приповедачкихпоступака Владана Матијевића и позиционирање његове прозе у корпусу савремене, српскекњижевности краја двадесетог и почетка двадесет првог века: 1. Владан Матијевић је имодернистички писац и писац постмодерне и постпостмодерне. 2. Стваралаштво ВладанаМатијевића укључује у себе класично третирање жанровских образаца. 3. Јунаци прозеВладана Матијевића нису носиоци друштвених обележја савременог човека двадесет првогвека, они су аутентични јунаци који се налазе у савремености приповедног текста.Подробно аналитичко читање и тумачење романа и приповедака Владана Матијевићадовело је до закључка да тумачени романи и приповетке заузимају важно, релевантно местоу доскорашњој и актуелној српској књижевности. Нова истраживања су очекивана ипожељна јер је Владан Матијевић у међувремену објавио два нова романа, од којих је романПакрац коментарисан у нужној мери. Будућа истраживања моћи ће да обухватеМатијевићево стваралаштво на још исцрнији и целовитији начин, али и да га посматрају саодређене књижевноисторијске дистанце, која ће, надамо се, пружити нове увиде, анализе иоцене.

The subject of the doctoral dissertation is the poetics of Vladan Matijević's prose, which isinterpreted through the analysis of his storytelling processes in novels and short story collections,with special emphasis on the nature of the hero. Vladan Matijević, as an important contemporarywriter, occupies an important place in the postmodernist and most contemporary conception ofSerbian literature.The goal of the doctoral dissertation is to shed light on the elements of the author'sstorytelling and to interpret the innovative approaches to storytelling that form Vladan Matijević'scontemporary storytelling concept. As a result, it is necessary to look at all important aspects ofstorytelling that indicate the innovation of the author's storytelling horizon: the construction of thehero, genre features, humor and the grotesque.The primary results of the research are related to the elucidation of Vladan Matijević'sstorytelling processes and the positioning of his prose in the corpus of contemporary Serbianliterature of the end of the twentieth and beginning of the twenty-first century: 1. Vladan Matijevićis a postmodern and post-postmodern writer, 2. Vladan Matijević's creativity includes classicaltreatment of genre patterns, 3. The heroes of Vladan Matijević's prose are not bearers of the socialcharacteristics of the modern man of the 21st century, but are authentic heroes who are found in thestorytelling world of the 21st century.A thorough analytical reading and interpretation of Vladan Matijević's works leads us to theconclusion that the interpreted novels and short stories occupy a relevant place in the corpus ofcontemporary literature. New research is expected and desirable since Vladan Matijević is a writerwho, in the course of writing this doctoral dissertation, published two new novels. Future researchwill be able to include Matijević's creativity in its entirety, but also to observe it from a certainliterary-historical distance, which will hopefully provide new perspectives.
