Colloquial Arabic is a collective term for the spoken varieties of Arabic used throughout the Arab world, which differ radically from the literary language. The main dialectal division is between the varieties within and outside of the Arabian peninsula, followed by that between sedentary varieties and the much more conservative Bedouin varieties. All of the varieties outside of the Arabian peninsula (which include the large majority of speakers) have a large number of features in common with each other that are not found in Classical Arabic. Kolokvijalni arapski je zbirni termin za govorne varijante arapskog koji se koriste po čitavom arapskom svetu, a bitno se razlikuju od književnog jezika. Glavna podela dijalekata odnosi se na varijante unutar Arabijskog poluostrva i van njega, za kojim slede one koje postoje između sedelačkih i daleko konzervativnijih beduinskih varijanti. Svim varijantama izvan Arabijskog poluostrva (koje podrazumevaju ogromnu većinu govornika) zajedničke su brojne crte koje se ne nalaze u klasičnom arapskom. Godina izdavanja: 1565/1566.
