Opis (srp)

Godina izdavanja: 1905.

Opis (eng)

A study of the Walter of Châtillon’s Alexandreis, written by Heinrich Christensen (b. 1849), a German philologist and historian, professor of Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Hamburg. As a researcher, Christensen was specialized in the Alexander romance, which was the subject of most of his works. Year of publishing: 1905 Walter of Châtillon (12th cenury) was a medieval French writer and theologian. He wrote the version of the Alexander romance, full of anachronisms and based on Curtius Rufus’ Historia Alexandri Magni, which was very popular and influential in the medieval Europe. This copy of the book is especially interesting because it contains the annotations written by the author himself.
