A report of the expedition of four German officers in Asia Minor, following the route of Alexander the Great’s conquest, written by one of the participants, colonel Arthur Janke (1843–1928). The most important question discussed in this work is the exact place of the battlefields of Granikus and Issus. The book is illustrated and contains six maps made by Wilhelm von Marées. Year of publishing: 1904.
