Zu Pseudokallisthenes und Julius Valerius
Ausfeld, Adolf
Kratka studija nemačkog klasičnog filologa Adolfa Ausfelda (1855–1904) o prvobitnom grčkom Romanu o Aleksandru I delu Julija Valerija. Godina izdavanja: 1897.
A short study of the original Greek Alexander romance (known also as Pseudo-Callisthenes) tand the work of Julius Valerius, written by a German classical philologist Adolf Ausfeld (1855–1904). Ausfeld was especially interested in the history of development of the Alexander romance, mostly of its Greek versions, and he wrote several important works on that subject. Julius Valerius Alexander Polemius (3rd to 4th century AD) was a translator of the Greek Pseudo-Callisthenes, the romantic history of Alexander the Great, to the Latin Res gestae Alexandri Macedonis. His work is important in connection with the transmission of the Alexander romance in the Middle Ages. Year of publishing: 1897
