An article about certain motifs in the work of Julius Valerius, written by a German philologist Christian Friedrich Graefe (1780–1851), member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and university professor. Julius Valerius Alexander Polemius (3rd to 4th century AD) was a translator of the Greek Pseudo-Callisthenes, the romantic history of Alexander the Great, to the Latin Res gestae Alexandri Macedonis. His work is important in connection with the transmission of the Alexander romance in the Middle Ages.

Članak o određenim motivima u delu Julija Valerija koji je napisao nemački filolog Kristijan Fridrih Grefe (1780–1851), član Ruske akademije nauka i profesor na univerzitetu. Julije Valerije (3-4 vek n.e.) je preveo sa grčkog na latinski romantizovanu istoriju o Aleksandru Velikom Pseudo-Kalistena, pod naslovom Res gestae Alexandri Macedonis. Njegovo delo je važno u vezi sa pitanjem razvoja legende od antičkih istorija o Aleksandru Velikom do srednjovekovne Aleksandride.
