Doktorska disertacija Hajnriha Štefensa (r. 1874) o stihu i jeziku epa Wars of Alexander. Wars of Alexander je ep napisan u aliterisanim stihovima, koji predstavlja jednu od engleskih verzija srednjovekovnog Romana o Aleksandru. O autoru epa ništa nije poznato. Zasnovan je na delu Historia de preliis, najrasprostranjenijoj srednjovekovnoj latinskoj verziji Romana o Aleksandru. Godina izdavanja: 1901.

A doctoral dissertation about the versification and the language of the poem Wars of Alexander, written by Heinrich Steffens (b. 1874). The Wars of Alexander is written in the alliterative verses, which presents one of the English versions of the medieval Alexander romance. Nothing is known of the author of this version of the poem. It was based on the Historia de preliis, the most widespread Latin medieval version of the Alexander romance. Year of publishing: 1901
