Muhamed je bio uveren da može da razgraniči vlastite misli od tih poruka. Na osnovu Kurana, jedna od glavnih Muhamedovih uloga bila je da upozori nevernike na njihovu eshatološku kaznu (Kuran 38:70, Kuran 6:19). Ponekad se Kuran ne odnosi eksplicitno na Sudnji dan već pruža primere iz istorije nekih posebnih zajednica i upozorava Muhamedove savremenike na slične nesreće (Kuran41:13-16). Muhamed ne upozorava samo one koji odbacuju Božje otkrovenje već i nosilac blagovesti onima koji odbacuju zlo, slušaju reč Božju i služe Bogu.

Muhammad was confident that he could distinguish his own thoughts from these messages. According to the Quran, one of the main roles of Muhammad is to warn the unbelievers of their eschatological punishment (Quran 38:70, Quran 6:19). Sometimes the Quran does not explicitly refer to the Judgment day but provides examples from the history of some extinct communities and warns Muhammad's contemporaries of similar calamities (Quran 41:13-16). Muhammad is not only a warner to those who reject God's revelation, but also a bearer of good news for those who abandon evil, listen to the divine word and serve God.
