Al-Fikh al-akbar ne samo da doprinosi boljem razumevanju akide (islamske vere) i omogućava da pojedinac više vrednuje svoju veru, ali nastoji da postavi pitanja koja, ako se na njih ne odgovori, mogu dovesti do podmukle sumnje i izazvati podelu zajednice. To su sledeća pitanja: Gde je Bog? Da li se Bog razvija? Šta sačinjava istinsku islamsku veru? Da li su proroci sposobni za greh? Da li postoji stvaranje izvan onoga što mi vidimo? Šta se dešava posle smrti?

Al-Fiqh al-Akbar not only improves one's understanding of 'aqida and deepens one's appreciation of his or her beliefs, but it endeavors to address questions, which, if left unanswered, could leave insidious doubt and cause communal division. Such questions include: Where is Allah? Does Allah evolve? What constitutes true Islamic belief? Are prophets capable of sinning? Is there creation beyond what we see? What comes after death?
