Sura al-Kahf "Pećina" (arapski: Suratu al-Kahf) jeste osamnaesta sura Kurana sa sto deset ajeta. To je mekanska sura. Stihovi 9-26 ovog poglavlja govore o ljudima iz pećine (Ashabu Al-Kahf). Izvestan broj mladih jednobožaca je živelo u vreme kada su progonjeni. Zajedno su pobegli iz grada i našli utočište u pećini gde su zaspali. Bog ih je držao u snu trista solarnih ili trista devet lunarnih godina a kada su se probudili u njihovoj oblasti je takođe zavladao monoteizam. U stihovima 32-44 u suri se raspravlja o priči o dvojici ljudi, od kojih je jedan bio blagosloven od Boga a drugi bio siromašan. Bogati je iskvario dušu pa je počeo da se hvališe bogatstvom i plemenitim poreklom. A imao je ploda pa je prijatelju rekao sledeće: "Bogatiji sam od tebe i moćniji od mnogih ljudi." -Kuran, Al-Kahf (Pećina), ajet 34 Na kraju priče, Bog uništava ono što je dao tom čoveku. Sura al-Kahf "The Cave" (Arabic: Suratu al-Kahf) is the 18th surah of the Qur'an with 110 ayat. It is a Meccan sura. Verses 9 - 26 of the chapter tell the story of the People of the Cave (Ashabu Al-Kahf). Some number of young monotheistic men lived in a time where they were persecuted. They fled the city together, and took refuge in a cave where they fell asleep. God caused them to remain sleeping for 300 solar years, or 309 lunar years, and when they woke the surrounding area had become monotheistic as well. In verses 32 - 44 the surah discusses a Parable of two men, who one of them had been given blessings from God and the other was poor. The rich one wronged his soul and started showing off with his wealth and noble lineage. And he had fruit, so he said to his companion while he was conversing with him, "I am greater than you in wealth and mightier in [numbers of] men." -Quran, Al-Kahf (The Cave), Ayah 34 At the end of the parable God destroys what he had given the man.
