Opis (eng)

The use of cases in Arabic is complicated by the fact that the Arabic only allows the writer to show the consonants and long vowels of a word. The short vowels can be indicated by a system of straight and curved lines placed above and below the letters, but these are time consuming to write and are normally included only in texts where it is important to indicate correct pronunciation: the Quran, children's textbooks, and sometimes poetry.

Opis (srp)
