Pitanje: Molim vas, posavetujte me kako bi trebalo da se odlaže islamska literatura. U kući imam puno islamskih časopisa, pamfleta i novina. Znam da nije dozvoljeno bacati ih u kantu za otpatke pošto se u njima nalaze stihovi iz Kurana, ime Alaha i hadisi. Koji način je najbolji za odlaganje takvih časopisa? Odogovor: Islamska literatura se može odložiti tako što se zakopa. Islamska literatura bi trebalo da se zakopa na nekom udaljenom mestu po kojem se obično niko ne šeta. Neki pravnici su preporučili i da se takva literatura stavi ispod tekuće vode sve dok se ne spere mastilo kojim su napisani ime Alaha, stihovi iz Kurana i islamski natpisi. Hartiju bi potom trebalo zakopati. Ne bi bilo zgodno spaliti te stranice ili literaturu jer je to postupak nepoštovanja. I Alahznanaj bolje.

Question: Kindly advise on how Islamic literature should be disposed? I have many Islamic magazines, pamphlets and newsletter lying around at home. I know that I am not allowed to throw them in the bin as they contain verses from theQur'an, the name of Allah and the Hadith. What is the best way of disposingof such articles? Answer: The Islamic literature may be disposed of by burial. The Islamic literature should be buried in a remote spot where one would not usually walk. Some Fuqahaa have also recommended placing the literature under running water till the ink is washed away whereby the name of Allah, verses of the Qur'an or Islamic inscriptions no longer remain. The paper should then be buried. It is not appropriate to burn these pages/literature as it is a gesture of disrespect. And Allah knows best.
