Wiqāyatu r-riwāya fī masā’ili l-hidāya
Ibn Ṣadr aš-Šarī‘a, Maḥmud
ibn Naṣuhḥ, Muḥammad
When Muhammad died, Ali and Muhammad's closest relatives made the funeral arrangements. While they were preparing his body, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Abu Ubaidah ibn al Jarrah (Abu 'Ubayda) met with the leaders of Medina and elected Abu Bakr as khalifa ("caliph"). Ali and his family were dismayed, but accepted the appointment for the sake of unity in the early Muslim community. It was not until the murder of the third khalifa, Uthman, that the Muslims in Medina invited 'Ali to become the fourth khalifa. While Ali was caliph, his capital was in Kufah, in current day Iraq. Year of publishing: 1606.
Godina izdavanja: 1606.
