The prayers (salat) practiced by one Muslim may differ from another's in minordetails, which can affect the precise actions and words involved. Differences arise because of different interpretations of the Islamic legal sources by the different schools of law (madhhabs) in Sunni Islam, and by different legal traditions within Shi'ism. In the case of prayers these differences are generally minor, and do not necessarily cause dispute. It is important to note the reason why Sunni Muslims have a basic agreement on the necessary part of the Prayer.

Molitve (salat) koje sprovodi jedan musliman mogu se razlikovati od molitava nekog drugog muslimana u malim detaljima što može uticati na tačnost postupakai reči koje se koriste. Razlike nastaju zbog toga što razne pravne škole sunitskog islama (madhabi) različito tumače izvore islamskog prava i zahvaljujući različitim pravnim tradicijama u šiizmu. U slučaju molitve te razlike su obično neznatne i obično nisu predmet rasprava. Važno je napomenuti razlog što sunitski muslimani imaju osnovnu saglasnost o važnim delovima molitve.
