Ne treba reći da unutar sunitskog islama nema gledišta kao univerzalne islamske zajednice. Jednostavno je reći da se pojam građanina odnosi na strukture i odnose unutar određenog trenutka i mesta kada se postavi pitanje svakodnevnih obaveza i strukture svakodnevnog života unutar porodice, društva i javnosti.
